I am looking to start a community for veterans by veterans. It is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. I have found a piece of land to start this on. I have found family members and others that are interested in it, but to raise the funds I must have a charity started. To do that I must have a name. This is my current sticking point. My son gave me 2, "Protector's Sanctuary" and "A Home for Heroes". Both of these are good. Does anyone else have any ideas?

SPC Susanne Tindall A Home for Heroes is too close to Homes For Heroes. Work out all the details first before you decide on a name. What if funds dry up after the initial fund raiser? Can your charity be self sustaining without cash inflow?

The Homes For Heroes Foundation was developed in response to the growing number of military veterans who are facing crisis as they return to civilian life and find themselves on the path to homelessness. As many as 5,000 veterans are homeless and living on the streets in Canada. These veterans put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and now they need, and deserve, our support. With your help Homes For Heroes will provide them with...

That is what it is striving for. The community would have farming ti provide food. Solar and wind for power... Etc.
