I seem to remember there being a web based resource that helped commanders when conducting their METL crosswalk/nesting but I cant remember it. I'm pretty sure its not DTMS, though I am aware DTMS has some of those capabilities.

Thank you for your help in advance What is the "best" resource for developing a METL besides FM 7-15 (2009)? 2015-06-30T02:57:07-04:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 779960

I am writing my BDE's Annual Training Guidance and am trying to understand why our METL is what it is, aside from the obvious, its what the CDR chose and got approved.

To do this I have been referencing FM 7-15 (2009) but am wondering if there is a newer or better resource available to me. If so you can pull the JMETL and create the METL for your unit. It will also show you the JMETL/METL for your higher headquarters all the way up to the Pentagon. The CAC website ties to the Army Training Network (ATN) and the Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS) sites. Both are useful, but I always preferred CATS: when you enter the website, you navigate to your unit echelon and it outlines associated tasks for your unit type IAW FM 7-15. DTMS's METL tab provides similar FM 7-15-driven data, but it's presented less coherently. I preferred using these resources over reading FM 7-15 in entirety.
