Try to ask your NCO if supply has any Peltors you can sign out. Peltors are over the ears hearing protection that lets quieter sounds filter through.

Peltor hands down. Kind of pricey, but well worth it. Most of their ear pro fits under a helmet pretty well, but they make a couple that are designed specifically for under an ACH.

Live fire exercises are already too loud. Why the hell would you want to AMPLIFY it? Make hearing loss go even quicker?

Peltors unless TCAPS are available. If neither are available then combat plugs.

No clue, they never had anything back in my day. But with the tech. they have today I'm sure they have some good stuff. kinda like bose head-canceling headphones. Wear them on a plane and you don't hear the plane at all.

3M Peltor ComTac III is a great headset that is compatible with the PRC 152. It allows you to hear your surroundings but also protects your ears when you're firing. So you can hear the range control tower tell you that you're hitting the soldiers next to you tragets!

MSA Sordin...Hands Down. They are expensive, however you can get a set that are designed to work with your "Ballistic Beret" (Your helmet) You can also get them with all the hook ups for your unit's individual communications equipment.
I have used MSA Sordin for years literally. After retiring from the Army I worked as a Firearms instructor so I was on the range even more than I was in the Army.

Like others have said-peltors. I rocked a pair after Baghdad-blown up, gunshots right next to my grape, messed me up for a while in my right ear. They are awesome man. Got one of my new units to throw down for peltors. Just remember to get the gel ear cups.
