What is the best supplemental training for medical officers who are commissioned without going through the Officer Basic Course?

Isn't there a 4 week course that folks from a different branch attend? Warrior Transition Course at FT Bliss? If that is still in existence, this could be a possibility for future direct commissions.....

Isn't Ranger School open to all branches? My guess is it don't get much harder than that. Airborne or Air Assault would also be a good option.

Boy Scouts. Seriously. BSA has a leader development course called Wood Badge. It's excellent and the volunteer service helps develop the officer and young people.

Are you scheduled to go to The Uniformed Services University? They do a couple of FTX's every cycle to introduce the doctors to military standards and duties.

Volunteer on an ambulance as a trainee, Basic EMT or assist at a trauma center to find out how things are improvised at a moments notice. It's fly by the seat of your pants as a trainee.

Looks like you already have Air Assault, Airborne, and an EFMB if I can read your rack well enough. Maybe C4 or TC3, if you have aircraft around maybe Flight PA so you can do flight physicals?

Daily bearings until they memorize every single word verbatim of AR670-1. I've seen some pretty chewed up irect commissions during my time in the military.
