Go to job fairs with resumes on hand. Go to out-process to convert your military skills to civilian skills for your resume.

Start looking early for the job you won’t. Don’t wait to the day of discharge that to late. Plan ahead . I was lucky l had work for the Anency on special programs. I new some of the players and they new me and my skills. I was offered jobs on many occasions. My reply was that I was having too much fun to get out. I did tell them that the day that I wasn’t having fun I would retired. That day can the first of March 1st 1987. I call them that I was going to personnel and put my retirement papers in. I didn’t asked for a retirement ceremony I left the way I can in quietly. I got my paper work in the mail.

Its a lot different environment you dont have the closeness of a military unit everyone is out for themselves
