Does anyone have figures on the deployment rates of national guard soldiers, reserves, and active duty? I'm asking this out of curiosity.

Highly dependent on the type of unit and mission. Civil Affairs still has what is likely the highest deployment rate in the USAR. On any given day, I have 88 Soldiers deployed to Djibouti with a few others on individual deployments in Europe or stateside. I ensure all Soldiers get a one year dwell time. The 5 year cycle simply does not work for CA, Psyops, IO, etc.

General, do you know if Civil Affairs units take in other service branches or are they strictly Army?

The Marines have a robust CA program in their Reserves. The Navy just disbanded their CA units last year. Nothing in the Air Force.

BG (Join to see), great insight Sir. Unit type is very important. We're out the door every four years.

Most Guard units were on a 5 year cycle. That's gone by the wayside now, it's like pulling hen's teeth to find a deployment to jump on. It's over. It really is.

It's high, big sexxy. Put your seatbelt on and stay on top of your PT and weapons quals. Only a matter of time before REAL troops will have to hand ISIS their asses. Be a leader, brother.

MAJ Ken Landgren I finally blocked that kook, boss. Evidentially he was an Marine Corps officer, and God bless him, but I couldn't stand all the leftwing craziness. He was looking for my posts and just firing off regardless of the topic. In fairness he may have never saw your response since I blocked him. Blessings to you and thanks for your service!

Was thinking a nutty version of Buddy Holly from the pic, Sir...in Dress Whites, no less. He had the ass for me for sure. I was a little tipsy one night and posted a mushroom cloud with Mr. Obama's face in foreground and something like Obamageddon in caps....and the gentleman Capt W. Miller CAME UNHINGED!! But it takes all kinds, I suppose?
