My question is, what is the difference in their source handling training and real world applications? What is the difference in source handling between 35M and 35L? 2018-05-20T11:04:25-04:00 SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member 3644802 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know that 35M is humint and deals with interrogations and source handling , but I also read that 35L does some aspects of source handling as well. You are a Marine, you should go ask an MOS 0211. There are differences between CI in Army and Marine....I was in both. If you are on an Army post you can contact the 902d office. Remember your OPSEC classes. Techniques are relatively similar, but the focus for the two is different. Nowadays in the Army, there is a clear delineation between CI Source Ops (of which MCC or Military CI Collection is the most common you may be aware of), and MSO, with both having there own collection requirements. That is about all I will say on here as the more we talk about it, the more we risk getting into classified realms. That being said, as a 35F, I would suggest you get on SIPR and conduct this research more there. In case you were not aware, this is not how the Marine Corps conducts CI/HUMINT, as their 0211 MOS combines the two fields, meaning they conduct Source Operations for both purposes, while the majority of their CI investigations (and CI investigative jurisdiction) resides with NCIS.
