What is the format for writing up a DA 31 for excess leave awaiting Admin Discharge?

Chapter 5-17, the Co CDR has recommended an Honorable Discharge. Do I include the dates if I have not been notified of my last day? Would I up the number of days I would like to use in Section 9d. Excess, or leave it as a normal DA 31 and just fill out the Accrued and Requested?

Did you talk to your S1? Did you talk to barracks lawyers? Seriously, this question could have been answered by Google or a visit to your S1.

S1 NCO was on leave, leaving a soldier that did not know the answer. Googling this only brought me to Rally Point, for someone asking a slightly different question.

If you're using up leave you're just going on leave until you get a discharge date. It's normal leave. Put all the leave on there you want to take. When you get a separation date you'll be pulled off leave to clear and have to submit a new leave request with your clearing
