What are tips and trick (joking) to studying and applying yourself to this test? Any and all advice is welcome. What is the hardest part of the SIFT? 2019-09-22T03:55:38-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5047694 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve recently come to terms with my future goals in the Army and I’ve decided that I will study for the SIFT. What one may see as hard could be different to others. I had to completely brush up on my math because let’s be honest, it’s been 14 years since I even used Algebra or anything related to physics. My advice would be to get a SIFT study guide and basics on rotary wing flight books and study them for at least a month. Don’t worry about learning all the math equations cause they will be given on the side of the screen. But for the physics portion ensure you remember the formulas cause they don’t give it to you then. Also know that the study books you can use cross elimination for the “find the shape in the box” portion but for the test one shape can be the answer to multiple questions. That took a few seconds off for me cause I was thinking one shape couldn’t be the answer since I already chose it. Time and time again I see soldiers talk themselves out of taking it because they feel they aren’t ready. Pick a date, submit the 4187, and take it. Brushing up on math will help but also training your brain for the speed questions will help as well.
