I do know that it can take over a year to get a clearance issued. First thing is to make sure you are completely honest on your application and don't have any bad credit issues. If you're going for a Secret Clearance you only have to go back 7 years. A TS requires you go back 10.Response by SSG William Norris made Oct 8 at 2017 5:36 PM2017-10-08T17:36:55-04:002017-10-08T17:36:55-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2982620

There's a memo came out on June 21, 2017 saying that all MAVNIs can apply for security clearance in their first contract.
I heard the same too regarding security clearance, it will take a year at least. As I saw the news that 700,000 employees across DoD have been waiting to get their clearance so I'm praying they will process faster.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 8 at 2017 11:52 PM2017-10-08T23:52:17-04:002017-10-08T23:52:17-04:002017-10-07T19:01:58-04:00
