<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not sure about the if you have to wait to get a clearance. I do know that it can take over a year to get a clearance issued. First thing is to make sure you are completely honest on your application and don&#39;t have any bad credit issues. If you&#39;re going for a Secret Clearance you only have to go back 7 years. A TS requires you go back 10.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There&#39;s a memo came out on June 21, 2017 saying that all MAVNIs can apply for security clearance in their first contract.<br />I heard the same too regarding security clearance, it will take a year at least. As I saw the news that 700,000 employees across DoD have been waiting to get their clearance so I&#39;m praying they will process faster.
