I had a buddy while in trail he was authorize by the CMD to attend Ranger school and then went for SFAS before he puts away his brown hat. But, hey GOOD LUCK! Unless something has changed to the unit manning reg and the TRADOC personnel utilization supplement that would be prohibited. You can probably work with your branch to attend after your Drill Sergeant tour is complete en-route to your next assignment.
