No MOS can change that standard to gatekeep. That being said, My entire career in the Infantry, the goal was 270 or above or you would do remedial physical training in the afternoon to "assist" you in achieving that goal. Honest advice, you want to be in the 280-300 range to set yourself above your peers. 3 things you should focus on 1: be proficient in your skill level tasks and skill level 2 tasks. 2: expert marksmanship. 3: 280 or above PT score if you want to fast track in the Infantry. In 10th Mountain if you had less than 90 in pushups and sit-ups you were worthless and if you weren’t extended scale on the run you were not fit to wear a rank and US flag regardless of of how well you did anything else. Higher is desired. Technically a unit cannot treat you differently if you pass all three events, but it happens.
SOF standard is 240 min, but if you're below 270 you have no chance of being promoted.
As for a 280 being the minimum for 11B, you are quite mistaken, that may have been what your unit SAID in an effort to get more effort and a better unit average, but theres nothing they could do to you if you had a 180, 60 in each event.
