I hadn't been in the military very long, maybe a couple months. I took my wife at the time to dinner at a restaurant, and because I was only on break, was still in my uniform. I excused myself to use the restroom, and while doing my business, the man at the urinal next to me looks over, smiles, and says "Thank you."</div><div><br></div><div>My response, I think was perfectly acceptable. I returned a stare with a single elevated eyebrow in utter awkward confusion. After a moment his face turned red, and he added, for your service, and quickly exited lavatory.</div> What is the most awkward or funny "Thanks" you have received as a Service Member / Veteran? 2013-11-10T19:46:57-05:00 SGT Chris Birkinbine 5268 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For me, it is an easy one to recall:<div><br></div><div>I was a Private on my dinner break from a 24 hour CQ runner duty.
