There are 2 MLRS Battalions permanently stationed there as well as a rotational Battalion from the states. If you are a 13M you can spend as much time as you want to in ROK.. S Shop MOS&#39;s are there as well. However, I wouldn&#39;t choose a MOS simply to PCS somewhere. You can only stay a few years at a time - 3 max I think. You don&#39;t always get a choice of where your going to go. If you really want to go you can put in a requisition for South Korea. As well as reenlist for it. But it&#39;s 1 year tour very few get the option of staying longer and there are small &quot;deployments&quot; for nine months Fort Hood has been doing this for a few years. Both 1st and 2nd BCTs left and now a lot of coverage is being done by rotating units in and out of the country. What used to be needed isn&#39;t needed as much now. The MOS that can get that assignment the easiest and are the most numerous are CBRN, infantry, 88M, medics, admin, and finance, and MPs; but once again S. Korea is one of those assignments that has every MOS.
