On your military post or base, what is the most unique amenity you have discovered? Or from a previous assignment? What are some of the better amenities out there on military bases?

I like the amenities that MWF provides. Maybe not so much unique as a great benefit.

We have the largest Volksfest (German/American) in Europe right here in Grafenwoerh with typically 50,000 + visitors each year taking part in the event it is a great partnership event as well as a great opportunity for our FRG's to participate and benefit for the families from the event as well.

The event has music, food, beer (lots of brats and beer), car shows, military equipment, carnival rides, games, things for every age to enjoy! If you will be in the Germany during this time, this is a once in a lifetime event, trust me you gotta go to one of these while stationed in Germany! Link below for the upcoming event:

The post I am stationed at is the most unique amenity we have. We are stationed at White Sands Missile Range which is about 50 miles north of Fort Bliss, TX. We are literally in the middle of no where and it takes at least 30 minutes to get to anything worth a damn. Best part is, watching the missiles and other items launching into the atmosphere.

Ft Gordon has a place where you can rent horses to ride. Ft Riley has a public use dirt bike track.
