What is the National Guard enlistment process for prior service Navy?

I am oddly enough having a difficult time contacting the local NG recruiter; have called the local armory(left messages) and messaged the Staff Sergeant's facebook page, with nothing heard back. As title states, prior service Navy with RE-3F reentry code(weigh ins) and honorable discharge. Ive lost close to 50 pounds and would like to return to the military. Will this be possible? What is the waiver process like? Any information and guidance is appreciated.

I'm sure it's possible, but the process probably varies state to state in terms of how likely it is to get the waiver, and how long it will be to get it. If you're having trouble contacting the local Recruiter, I'd just expand my search outwards and see who you can reach. There's bound to be someone who can get you started on the process.

Under that last one, scroll down, you'll see a link aboutnezecutive branch state agencies...there's a PDF, scroll down on it, you'll see the WY Mil Dept, with phones and the whole leadership listing, trust me, you should be able to reach the WY ARNG senior recruiting staff through them, rather than going through the regular armory recruiter phones, typically, most don't generally thinkmto try from the top down, going from the bottom up as you've seen often takes longer with leaving voicemails, or sending emails, try it the way I suggested, you should certainly reach admin staff live, who could likely hook you up with the relevant recruiting staff a whole lot faster, I'd be most interested to know if all that does any good, hope it''s all of use, OK?

And since you were aviation while Navy, would you want aviation, maybe rotary wing, in ARNG? I was just curious, inhabe an interest in such things...what MOS were you wanting to try for? Also, would you want to maybe try for WY ANG on he air side at all. Just a thought, of course...did you want senior enlisted? Warrant? Commissioned? Any college? Assocs? Bach? Grad school? Not that it matters of course, that's obv a matter of indiv preference, certainly, I'd merely wondered, if you'd care to elaborate at all, no rush, just was interested if you might care to elaborate, I've seen many threads on here about ARNG OCS, ANG, I'm not sure how such things are dine, I think the air side uses USAF OTS, though I'm not entirely certain, I knew ARNG has extended OCS programs by state or territory, that was why I'd wondered, I just was interested what you ambitions and/or objectives !right he...also, had you considered AGR, Guard Tech, or Reserve Tech? I take it alsomyoud want Natl Guard, not necessarily Reserve, from what you'd explained? Hope was of use and/or interest, eager to hear more, anytime, many thanks....

What state? Yes you can get a waiver but also try the reserves

Local NG Recruiters are often re-purposed and moved around. Contact the state HQ and ask the operator to connect you to the Recruiting and Retention Office. They should put you in contact with someone who needs to write a contract. I don't think you will have any problem with the waiver. Best of luck!

I retired from the FLARNG in 1986. I was a Full time Office Technician in my last few years. I would go to the nearest National Guard Armory and have a discussion with the Technician about your desires. He can look it up in the Army regulations.
