What is the normal timeline for USAREC to send my recruiter an RE3 waiver approval email? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-the-normal-timeline-for-usarec-to-send-my-recruiter-an-re3-waiver-approval-email <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My RE3 Code waiver was approved by USAREC last week but now I was told I have to wait for them to send my recruiter an approval email before they send me to the floor to pick my MOS and swear in. Has anyone dealt with this before or have an idea on a timeline? Recruiters don&#39;t have any answers for me and seem to be in the dark on this as well. Think of it this way. You’re not the only waiver that Usarec is processing on any given day it’s in the thousands so be patient and let the process work through until it’s logical conclusion SFC A.M. Waivers are submitted by electronic workflow in your electronic enlistment application in a system called GCR. The workflow goes from recruiting center, to recruiting company commander, to recruiting battalion operations, recruiting battalion commander/XO. then to USAREC. Once approved, disapproved, or &quot;returned without action&quot;, it goes back to all those parties through electronic workflow in GCR. If your still &quot;waiting&quot;, then the electronic waiver workflow has not been approved yet. The &quot;email&quot; probably means the notification of the waiver workflow status. Makes no sense at all that you were told that it had been approved by USAREC, and waiting on email. Its not approved until the electronic workflow in GCR gets checked approved. Once that happens, you are cleared to be projected to process at MEPS. I know my journey has taken 18 frickin years, but I&#39;m seeing light at the end of the tunnel. While she (my recruiter) already has all the after MEPS paperwork in line for me (SG waiver, etc), so that may be affecting how fast I get to raise my hand again. Of course, I&#39;m trying to go Air Guard, so that may affect the timing, too. Your recruiter may not be able to tell you anything because they&#39;re not being told anything. It all depends on how fast the cogs in the machine want to move. The farther along in the process you are, the faster they move, but it&#39;s like a damned steam train taking off...slow to start, but once it gets moving you&#39;ll be there before you blink. Different MEPS may have different SOPs so your recruiter may just be waiting for the approval workflow. Shouldn’t be long. MEPS is its own beast and time stops with them. Likewise atleast check up with your recruiter on a weekly bases. lastly dont wait to long for a waiver I would never wait longer then three month but also know that your not priority because you not a new recruit.
