Some times take a quiet time away from it all and sit in a room. Low lights, no noise, And relax and just think, if you fall asleep. O.
K, but relax.Something probably come to you.

Car repairs/tune up. Having to tune up a car that sat around for over a year wasn't a great thing to have to do when I got home.

Jewelry. I put 12 ounces of gold jewelry in a suit case and someone stole it.

Completely understand...my Mom gave me an antique cameo ring when I was 14. I wore it ALL the time for years. Kept it safe while on Active Duty. When I finished grad school and was working at Camp LeJeune (sometime in 98-99) I was at the PX going through racks of sale clothes with my daughter, the cameo was pulled out of the setting. I didn’t realize it was gone until we had left Base and we’re heading home. I TOTALLY flipped out!!! Went back to PX and searched the floor everywhere I remember shopping. Spoke with manager, cleaning crew, and everyone connected to PX. I never found it. It took me several months to get the courage to tell my Mom. I knew she was heartbroken and so was I. It was gone. It was given to her by a wealthy Aunt and she passed it on to me and I lost it. I have never gotten over that loss, so I completely understand how you feel. I was devistatef and still cry when I think about it. I will never forgive myself for that loss and disappointing her! So sorry for the theft of your gold. MAJ Ken Landgren

What helps me is all the scar tissue I have. You don’t need to inform your mother to your loss as you stated she would have hard time adjusting to the loss. SPC Nancy Greene

One time I found a heavy gold bracelet and it was a coworker’s. She barely even said thanks after I gave back to her. SPC Nancy Greene
