The new PT fuzzy hat is black so it would make sense that we could wear the old black one. What is the policy for the wear of cold weather gear with the new Army OCP uniform?2016-01-21T11:34:33-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1249861<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have seen Coyote, Gray and the old Black fleece tops worn in and around Fort Leavenworth. <br /><br />I know it has been put out you can mix and match with the gray but have not heard anything on the black. The black or green fleece jacket (ECWCS) can be worn as an outer garment when authorized by the commander. DA PAM 670-1 1JUL2015. <br />There was no wear out date stated in the DA PAM. Didn't look up the ALARACT message though. Might state something about the black fleece jacket. Didn't have access to look that one up from my personal computer.Response by SSG Jason Neumann made Jan 21 at 2016 12:17 PM2016-01-21T12:17:31-05:002016-01-21T12:17:31-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member1250037<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Latest DA PAM 670-1 sas green or black depending on command authorisation. It's in a memo in a FAQ format. <br /><br />It's states that there has not been a wear out date ordered for the black fleece. It is to be worn at the commanders descression. <br /><br />Going by common sense here, the new pt hat ,which is the old one, is black. Makes sense to wear the black fleece with the black or hat. <br /><br />Thank you gentlemen for your time. I know there is little to be had in our profession.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 21 at 2016 4:59 PM2016-01-21T16:59:12-05:002016-01-21T16:59:12-05:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel1254013<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't know but I'm sure it has been getting quite a workout the last few days here in Kansas City, Damn it is Cold!Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Jan 23 at 2016 11:09 AM2016-01-23T11:09:50-05:002016-01-23T11:09:50-05:00SPC Anne Miller1287550<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm just going to keep on using what I got.Response by SPC Anne Miller made Feb 8 at 2016 1:35 AM2016-02-08T01:35:39-05:002016-02-08T01:35:39-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member1289974<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Black is still not authorized, the new coyote fleece is $65. You can mix the uniform, I.e. ocp top and bottom with the tan boots, belt, and shirt. But if you switch one of those three you have to wear all coyote. Cold weather gear doesn't matter till it hits clothing and sales or is issued. That is the info I have received.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 9 at 2016 9:53 AM2016-02-09T09:53:46-05:002016-02-09T09:53:46-05:00CPL Reanna Ford6479002<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m currently stationed in Leavenworth and I’ve only ever seen the coyote fleece or the OCP pattern jacket/coat.Response by CPL Reanna Ford made Nov 8 at 2020 9:33 AM2020-11-08T09:33:40-05:002020-11-08T09:33:40-05:002016-01-21T11:34:33-05:00
