Long story short, I didn’t finish Army BCT back in 2015. I recieved an Article 15, which led to a discharge. Since then I’ve decided that I want to join the Marine Corps (I was a poolee back in 2014, but my parents forced me to choose a different route since I was 17). I’ve talked to recruiters, but none of them wanted to do the paperwork, or so they say. Just wondering if it’s possible. TIA!

As a former recruiter I will tell you, if a recruiter doesn't want to work a contract is because is not worth the time. In their eyes, if you were unable to complete BTC in the Army, which is fairly easy to tell you the truth, why will you be able to finish now. Don't take it personal, it's just business. A recruiter's worst enemy is time, or the lack thereof, so they are not going to waste it on a prior service with no backbone. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Thank you! I’ve already planned for going Reserves in the army, and then switching after my contract is up. Hopefully it’ll all work out.

Why would a recruiter waste his time doing paperwork?
