That is only for active duty Soldiers. However, you can enroll in ROTC as a USAR Soldier and contract with them to become an officer. You would need at least two years of college left to complete the program. There are also specific scholarships for USAR Soldiers that guarantee commissioning as an officer in the Reserve. You can go to http://www.army.com/rotc to see what schools have ROTC if you are not sure. If you have less than 2 years of college, you might want to look at OCS. A career counselor should be able to help out. If you have any specific questions about ROTC, let me know as that is my job now.

Page Not Found | Army.com

Are you trying to reach pages at army.mil or in the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) system? The Reserves and Guard don't have Green to Gold. That is an Active Duty program. You can either do ROTC or OCS. That are pretty much your only options. I went to a National Guard OCS. I just put in a packet and went. It wasn't hard. I was a prior SSG so I didn't a lot of trouble. What you would need to do is get accepted into a college with a Army Rotc program, get accepted into the school, then sign up for Rotc. You will still serve in your unit until you contract with rotc. At that time, you will convert to SMP. I would contact the college and seek the ROTC Recruiting and scholarship officer. Good luck! Contact a local recruiter and tell them you want to be considered for OCS. They will interview and board you locally, if they are considering candidates (not always the case). You must be aware that as the Army is decreasing in size, it is able to sustain the officer force just with Academy and ROTC grads, thus there is less demand/need for OCS and direct commission officers. Those programs are used to plus-up the officer ranks with quality candidates in times of need such as the surge in the mid-2000's when the Army needed more LTs to fill up newly-added BCTs. Good luck. I went to a recruiter and filled out the packet in its entirety. From that point, it was accepted and I was brought to the OCS board. A couple months later, I was told that I was accepted and then went to MEPS to do my enlistment. Green to Gold is not an Army Reserve program. If you are interested in completing your degree you need to talk to an ROTC program at the University you are currently attending or are looking into attending. If you already have a degree, you need to talk to your reserve unit about putting in an OCS packet.

If active duty is something you are considering, I would recommend the ROTC option because that will give you the opportunity of competing for active duty against the rest of the Cadets nationwide. Roughly 50% of Cadets get selected for active duty based on an order of merit list.

You can be in the SMP program (Simulataneous Membership Program) that allows you to be in your current reserve unit and the ROTC program at the same time. This will allow you to continue to attend drills and receive pay and you'll also get paid a Cadet stipend.

Let me know if you have any more questions. If you are qualified and are looking for an ROTC program to join, I'd be happy to help you out at my University.
