Being an army linguist is another opportunity. I'm sure there are others here who can tell you more.
Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 6 at 2019 4:53 PM 2019-07-06T16:53:31-04:00 2019-07-06T16:53:31-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 4786159

Once you are a specialist promotable, you can go come a 38A CivilAffairs Specialist. Kind of a 94F doesn't need a language, and it isn't authorized as part of my unit's MTOE, so I wouldn't get a packet approved. However, CMF 35 can attend language schools, but it would need to be required in the MTOE. [Remember now that we have exited Afghanistan,] Then what are the needs of the Army for the CY which are MOS/Branch driven. That grade is important but fluency is a must; And personnel are queried agains those needs. And, those qualified are considered, [and other service branches as needed], Your Company command, can perhaps assist with a global list or or perhaps an advisor, at your location can assist you info on slots or billets.
