I am previous service Army National Guard and I am in the process of enlisting into the AF. I don't think I'll have to go through BMT again, but I would like additional info about the transition course, getting uniforms, when I'll have to do my first PT test, etc.

SPC (Join to see) You should not have to do Basic again - you'd probably laugh at it, anyways. You will need to find a recruiter and make sure they know you're prior service. Then pick out your AFSC (career field). If you are going into Air Guard, getting uniforms can take some time - you know, since we're transitioning form ABUs to OCPs through out the next year. I have been to 2 drills since getting back in, and no uniforms yet. I haven't taken an official PT test yet - only practice ones, but will have to officially pass one before tech school.
