I volunteered for the Advon range prep team for this BA, and we need one operator for the humvee (but have none at the moment, we're an HR company). I want to obtain the license if possible, since I've heard vague info about it being a form and an online class. I would be appreciative if anyone could point me in the right direction. What is the process for Reservists getting a HMMWV license?2021-05-16T23:44:57-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6980346<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Greetings RP, it's your favorite full of question SPC. You need to go through drivers training. Do a road test. Have a commanders interview. Be registered in the computer system ( the system name escapes me.) Then have a license issued to you by your units master driver.Response by SFC Ken Heise made May 17 at 2021 12:55 AM2021-05-17T00:55:20-04:002021-05-17T00:55:20-04:00CPT Lawrence Cable6980820<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your company should have a Master Driver. If it doesn't, check with your Maintenance Section/Company or one of the other Companies that have Humvee's. Someone will have a Master Driver to test you.Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made May 17 at 2021 8:09 AM2021-05-17T08:09:55-04:002021-05-17T08:09:55-04:00SSG John Jensen6981043<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>at Army driving school in '81 at Ft Bragg after completing qualification on the M151, and the M35, I said to my instructor: "there may be a problem, I don't know how to drive an automatic" - He shouted "OH, Come Now!" - later I told my friends what I said and half of them responded with their heads in their hands " Oh, Johnny, How could you?' and the other half responded "That's Brilliant!, I should have done that!"Response by SSG John Jensen made May 17 at 2021 9:42 AM2021-05-17T09:42:53-04:002021-05-17T09:42:53-04:00SGT Don Schaffer6982037<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've been retired for a few years now, so my information may be dated. But as a prolific driver trainer and examiner- Your unit would have to have a need for you to be licensed, they will conduct the training/testing (this may be most easily accomplished during A.T. and on the Battalion level). <br />Good luck and remember to turn your lights on.Response by SGT Don Schaffer made May 17 at 2021 4:45 PM2021-05-17T16:45:29-04:002021-05-17T16:45:29-04:00SSG Anthony Nowak7022325<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is there not a license examiner in the bathroom who can license .Response by SSG Anthony Nowak made Jun 3 at 2021 10:34 AM2021-06-03T10:34:35-04:002021-06-03T10:34:35-04:00SGT Michael Paul7031538<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>should be road time PMCS and road test and eye examResponse by SGT Michael Paul made Jun 7 at 2021 7:32 PM2021-06-07T19:32:59-04:002021-06-07T19:32:59-04:002021-05-16T23:44:57-04:00
