What is the process of unit transfer in the air force reserve?

Hello everyone.
I am curious to know what the procedure is when ones decide to switch unit. All I have heard so far is that the main thing to do is fill out the 1288 form and submit. But my curiosity goes a little beyond that. I would like to know for example that when the form is submitted at the orderly room they send it to this or that office and then them in turn submit it through AFRC HQ, or some like that. Thanks in advance for the help.
