They would be more than happy to speak with you and contact information is readily available on their websites. Only Active Duty has that program. For a reservist the best bet is to go to the school and talk to the ROTC department. If you want a full ride scholarship then you'll have to apply with them.
A. Go to the admissions department at the school at least one semester before you plan to start and get that ball rolling. You may have to take entry exams and get them a copy of your High school diploma and ACT scores.
B. Fill out the Tuition Assistance (TA) paperwork with your unit.
C. Get an academic advisor in the department of your choice (math, English, computer science, etc.) and start the enrollment process. This guy will help you map out your plan to actually graduate and show you what courses you MUST take.
D. Go to the ROTC department and tell them you want to be a cadet. They will walk you through the ROTC options. Also, who told you the chances of going active are very low? That is opposite of the truth. We are up-sizing. We can barely enlist/reenlist enough Soldiers to meet mission, let alone commission enough officers. Go to ROTC and contract (non-GRFD). Use the knowledge and discipline you learned at BCT and AIT to help your peers. As long as you have a decent GPA, APFT score, and evaluations, you will get active duty no problem. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck. Also, would you want Army WOCS flights which only takes Hugh school, I've gathered?!I can suggest many things, among them USMC Platoon Leaders Course (PLC), which is less well known...if you went cpwarrmat or commissioned, what field would you spwant specifically? What MOS? If USAF, which AFSC? Would would want to try for Navy? USCG? Would you be open to trying for one of the state military colleges, like VMI, where by best friend from USAF went, or maybe the Citadel? Here are also he state maritime colleges, which are generally NROTC, also, USCG has the MARGRWD for maritime college graduates, and its own scholarship program as well. Would you want any thing clinical in which case you could try for the COSTEP they have, the USPHS analogoue to ROTC and PLC, I'm not saying you want either COSTEP or PLC, just mentioning them somyoud be aware. Elaborate if you can, interests, reading, hobbies, specific course titles, esp ETEam coursework, grades, GPAs thus far, also, have you done your assicates at all? Bachelors coursework yet? Would you want to an accredited online program at all? Have you looked at trying to ask about Community College of the AF (CCAF), I'd been told it might still he limited for UDAF, howeferz you could ask...also, did you call DNTRS or the Amer Could cip on Educ (ACE) military off for a military transcript yet at all? Have you looked at the CLEP for trying for creditz or the GRE subject tests, which, while rougher, offer more credits pass fail for assocs and Bach programs? As I'd said, try to elaborate, the more you provided the more can be suggested, honest, OK?
