<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Depending on the building the security badge is for.....could be serious issues. Contact the Security Manager for your unit and/or that facility for clearer guidance.MSG Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 Jan 2021 05:44:56 -05002021-01-19T05:44:56-05:00Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 19 at 2021 8:04 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>He's not the 1st and won't be the last -- contact the security manager//S2 to report and "cancel" the badge. He should expect counseling and the headache of getting it replaced. Most facilities issue turkey badges until a new one can be securedCSM Chuck StaffordTue, 19 Jan 2021 08:19:56 -05002021-01-19T08:19:56-05:00Response by SGM Jeff Mccloud made Jan 19 at 2021 8:25 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There's not much you can do to help other than telling him that being scared is a waste of time.<br />The loss needs to be reported immediately to cancel the badge.<br />He needs a new badge, and he can probably expect a counseling form that reiterates safeguarding the badge and procedures for lost badges, he might have to provide a copy of that counseling with the paperwork for the replacement badge.SGM Jeff MccloudTue, 19 Jan 2021 08:25:18 -05002021-01-19T08:25:18-05:00Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Jan 19 at 2021 8:48 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Bad news does not get better with age. If the soldier lost it, he needs to report it now. It will look worse for the soldier if the badge is found and turned in by someone else, or worse someone attempts access with it. The first questions will be when it was lost and why wasn't it reported.CW2 Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 Jan 2021 09:18:27 -05002021-01-19T09:18:27-05:00Response by Sgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 19 at 2021 11:22 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No one on RallyPoint can tell you what the punishment will be. The punishment is not the issue. Lost access badges need to be reported immediately as you were briefed when these cards were issued. Why have you not told this soldier to report the loss immediately instead of asking a question that you should know the answer to?Sgt Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 Jan 2021 11:22:00 -05002021-01-19T11:22:00-05:00Response by MSgt Steven Holt, NRP, CCEMT-P made Jan 19 at 2021 2:22 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Look, it depends on the level of security. Yes you can get UCMJ action, It depends on what the S2 recommends to the CO. The sooner it is reported the less likely for trouble to arise!SGM Bill FrazerTue, 19 Jan 2021 20:18:32 -05002021-01-19T20:18:32-05:002021-01-19T03:59:42-05:00
