Will the foliage green color be part of the mixed uniform? What is the regulation for wearing the Fleece with OCP? 2015-09-19T23:33:05-04:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 978769

Anyone know if this has been addressed? I haven't seen anything official but our unit won't let you mix even a combat patch in the ACU base colors... Granted I saw it online before you were allowed to wear OCP too though so it may have changed. I would assume that they will authorize it at some point. The Gen III Level 7 cold weather gear will probably be changed as well. Maybe that means I could get my hand on some surplus of the gray/green level 7 stuff for decent prices. My luck the AF will finally decide to change to OCP the moment I do buy some though. However, it is flawed in it does not state a polar fleece color. It also still states, technically, that the fleece cap color is foliage green or black. I would imagine it will be coyote brown for both items since the coyote brown is what has been posted for gloves, belt, t-shirt, etc.

Interested to know the doctrinal answer though Response by 1LT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 2 at 2015 9:23 AM 2015-10-02T09:23:19-04:00 2015-10-02T09:23:19-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 1177468

It is authorized to mix the camo patterns in regards to winter wear. The green fleece over the OCP is hideous. I have seen people with the coyote version and it looks really good. I would buy it and wear it with civvies like the old black one. The other option is that you can wear the green fleece under your OCP top. It fits neatly under it.

Did I hear that the black fleece is coming back?
