You will have time for weekend family visits in the first half of the course but I recommend not planning anything after mid-course. There is a 300 mile (pre- COVID 19) travel radius at Fort Lee. Beyond 300 miles requires a pass. Generally long distance travel was approved only during 4 day weekends- our class had two.
