This is a case for belt and suspenders. Go to ebenefits as described in @TSgt David LaPointe's post. Then go to Comp and Pen to make sure. Just went through a divorce and remarriage fiasco with VA - you can't tell enough people there to make sure someone hears the message.

Getting excited and nervous about the paperwork awaiting us. They just don't listen at the VA sometimes, but when they do-things happen fast.

A buddy of mine is married to a vet and we checked into this. Go to "http://www.ebenefits.va.gov", then "Apply for Benefits" under the "General" column. Log in at the https://www.ebenefits.va.gov/ebenefits/about/feature?feature=dependent-compensation link. Then "Manage Dependents (VONAPP Direct Connect)". If you've gotten that far you've got it licked.
