We all have had an old beaten car, a car we didn't like but was what kept us moving and, sometimes, we even get to love them. I've had a lot but my worst nightmare was a VW Corrado G60. I bought the car because I needed something to get to work, I was kind of desperate and the car was just a beauty. I didn't the right research and got it. I regret it since the very first week with it, alternator stopped working, then starter, then fuel pump, the list goes on and on. The prior owner took the supercharger off so it was a G60 naturally aspirated, yeah like an Audi TT without turbos or a GT500 without supercharger. I invested a lot of money on it, nothing seemed to work. We even changed the engine block and did something interesting with it, we put a 2.0L block from a MKIII Jetta with the 1.8L head cam from the Corrado. On the highway there was no car that could catch me, in any shift above 3rd the car kept pulling and pulling. In a stoplight it was a complete different story, cars left me behind by 3 or 4 cars, same cars that I just pulled in the highway. Long story short, I was willing to pay for just getting rid of it, the car was a headache on 4 wheels.

What has been your worst car? What would you call your nightmare on wheels?

SGT(P) (Join to see) I had a 79 Buick Regal with no engine as my first car. Had brought it for $200. Well worth the time, kept it for 10 years.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I don't think I would buy a car with no engine, I'm glad it worked out well.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - Roger that, it was in 1986 and it was basically a free car. Had to do some work, but got my money out of it. My brother end up wreck in it after I went in the Army and that's the way the story ends.

I have been lucky to have good cars my whole life, but we had a 92 Range Rover that was a nightmare to work on

The only thing I could afford when I got done at school in Great Mistakes after boot camp. Was lucky I did not get killed in it. It barely would go 50MPH I think it had a three cylinder engine, people would run me off the road all the time. Finally broke down and I had to get a bike.

I think it was 4 cylinders but with a 3 cylinders displacement. This was decades ago but I think it was 1.3L or something. Just like the 3 Cylinders forsa. But I could be wrong.
