<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It’s Training and Doctrine Command. TRADOC is responsible for training soldiers and develops and publishes all doctrine used by the Army. So all the FM’s, ATP’s, ADRP’s, etc are written and developed by TRADOC. Essentially they are responsible for developing and maintaining the institutional knowledge of the Army. If you’re assigned to TRADOC you could be doing anything from training recruits at BCT, training officers at OCS or any of the BOLC’s, serving as support personnel or working in the various departments that develop tactics. Throughout your career and everyone else’s they will pass through TRADOC multiple times as they advance throughout their careers. Without knowing specifically where you are going, I can’t tell you what to expect or what your experience will be like. Just know that in some way you will be supporting or training Soldiers at all levels, across the entire Army.CPT Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 28 Jan 2019 14:56:53 -05002019-01-28T14:56:53-05:00Response by LTC Jeff Shearer made Jan 28 at 2019 3:10 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’d make the best of it. I attend as many BIFV schools as your leadership allows. I’d also ask to do a ride along at both NTC and JRTC. Expeditionary operations inside a maneuver unit is demanding. You’ll get a ton of perspectives at the CTCs in a short amount of time. I’d learn all I could on network architecture down to unit MTOEs. Remember your first day there starts the count down to getting back to a line unit. High expectations.LTC Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 28 Jan 2019 15:19:13 -05002019-01-28T15:19:13-05:00Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Jan 28 at 2019 4:05 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>TRADOC is training and doctrine command. They are responsible for the training of new soldiers, the creation of FMs, TM and the administration of army schools. You could be assisting drill sergeants, helping to make SOPs or even getting placed in a position to be an AIT instructor. I believe that the NCO academies are also under TRADOC.SGT Tony CliffordTue, 29 Jan 2019 10:39:17 -05002019-01-29T10:39:17-05:00Response by CW4 Craig Urban made Jan 29 at 2019 8:11 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Let me try and put it in Marine Corps terms, TRADOC would be like everything in the Corps prior to reaching the fleet ie. DI, Combat instructor, MOS School instructor etc. Think of it as leaving a Fleet Marine Force unit to go work at a MCRD or School house.SGT Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 04 Feb 2019 23:35:27 -05002019-02-04T23:35:27-05:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 24 at 2019 11:07 PM
