It's not my favorite, but I can seriously watch "Major Payne" and laugh my ass off through the whole thing.

Donnie Darko, Altered States, Jacob's Ladder and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are some of my favorites. I like movies that crawl around in your head and leave you a little less certain of reality.

I didn't see this one mentioned and it is one of my favorites, The Longest Day with John Wayne and a cast of great stars. Some were only starting their careers in the movie. I cannot go past it if it is on TV.

Shawshank Redemption, I like how Andy is able to maintain his humanity and dignity in such a place, and how he inspires others. That scene where he plays music over the PA system is just incredible. I know the phrase "triumph of the human spirit" is thrown around a lot, but I think it is well-deserved for this movie.

A great movie I found randomly surfing through Netflix is "Ink," from 2009. Great movie that ends up completely different than you'd expect. It definitely did not get enough publicity. I highly recommend it to everyone looking for something new to watch!

Tombstone, Shawshank (I've seen it at least 50 times but the beginning only about 4), and Crossroads with Ralph Machio. If you haven't seen the last one...it is a must watch!
