It's been 40 years since I owned a gun and back then it was a small caliber rifle, not a pistol. I was wondering what people use/recommend for a carry bag. Something that works well to take to an indoor range, houses the safety gear (ears & eyes) as well as extra ammo and cleaning gear.

And what tag should this be under?! There are a ton of "...range..." tags of which only the first 20 or so show up in a NON-SCROLLABLE window.

I honestly just use one of my old field packs from the Army. Doesn't have to be anything special.

I use a "smallish" four-compartment range bag which I bought at Walmart a couple of years ago. It has two pockets on one side where I keep spare ammo. The other side is a full-length compartment which has several pockets for magazines, which I load up before I go to the range. I use the center compartment for spare earplugs, a stapler, and a 9mm bore-snake. I carry my pistols in their original cases, or the closest size that fits.

SFC Melvin Brandenburg It works, and it didn't cost a fortune.

Most anything that works for you and the area that you live in and travel through. You have from lockable hardshell cases to plain gym bags to choose from. Me, I can go out my back door and shoot, so use a simple gym bag to hold my possibles. If I go to my local gun club it's still only a few miles down the road. But again I live in a rural farming area of western NY. It all comes down to where you are and what you find works best for you.
