What is your cause? Whether or not you actively do anything to promote it, what is the one cause that you care the most about? Why?

Toys for Tots. I grew up poor, so as I grew up I always thought it was important to give the less fortunate a Christmas. It wasn't until I grew older that I made the connection between Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps. So it's definitely a cause I'm proud to support every year.

Thank you. Most of my charitable contributions fall under food, clothing, and time, but being able to bring joy to children really makes you feel like you're having a positive impact on the world.

As shallow as it sounds..... because it's not rape, not drug addiction, not Vet help with the VA..
My cause as you call it, would be Motorcyclist riding safe(safer).
And that does not mean slower, less, wrapped in bubble wrap...
But helping them "see" risks, so they can make an informed, educated, adult decision to avoid, modify, or accept them.
Helping them to learn to ride... and that is a lot more then balancing and operating the controls.
I observed, reviewed many, no make that MANY bike crashes...and the majority were foreseeable, avoidable and preventable..and that's not victim blaming.. Im not saying the rider was commonly at fault (though often they were) Even if the crash is not thier "fault" that does not mean they could not have done something while riding to avoid the crash.
So my cause is to increase risk awareness
Increase training
Increase understanding of using that training.

Separation of church and state. I see folks pushing to get more and more religion installed and instilled in our nation's government and our laws, and it bothers me. Oh, they'll fight tooth and nail to keep XX or YY religion out of government - but their chosen franchise of religion is a "perfect" fit and everyone should live by their cherry-picked edicts!

Excellent answer, Sir. This is one of my two primary causes. The other is SIDS research. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the death of my 11 week old daughter to SIDS. those are my causes.
