What is your "Cloud" solution?

I am huge fan of cloud services. I have Google Drive, Mega, and Drop Box. Although now I pay for Google services to attain 100 Gigs of Cloud storage. My computer recently went side ways. I got a new computer. I pretty much stored everything on my computer but I linked it my Google drive so it automatically syncs it. So when I logged back into my Google Drive on my desktop it was like nothing was happened. I have done this a few times. Plus it makes it able to reach files on the cloud from any device and I can share files with with anyone by sharing a folder. It has come in a handy many times.

What do you use?
For me it is Google Drive for 1.99 a month for 100 Gigs.

I currently use Google drive for my calander and notes. Once I break out (buisness) I'm sure I will use it for more stuff. I don't care for drop box I found it confussing.

I'm still not a true believer, YET, but getting closer. Being old school on computers I'm having trouble putting everything in the cloud. Probably just nonsense but I'll get there one day.

Don't like them one bit.....new age voodoo to get hold of your private moments and information....also way is this thread still up as IMO it amounts to advertisement.....anyway....moving on.

I am a paranoid old-school user. I've been burned in every way, from having my TRASH-80 cassettes get "eaten" to dropping my cards on the floor (without numbering them), to "energetic disassembly" of hard drives, to... you get the picture.

1. On-hardware backup (i.e., modular drive, SSD, of course)
2. Off-hardware backup (NAS in my house... RAID 1E across 3 drives)
3. Off-site backup (DELETED... too close to being an advert)

Sorry, CPT Private RallyPoint Member ... No "Cloud" for me. One of my clients has a group of paid cyber-ANTI-security "punks" whose purpose in life is to break into places to test vulnerabilities. "Cloud" means that everyone can see your junk... "Oh, look at the pretty clouds!"

I have a MS One Drive account and I use it occasionally. That being said, I'm not a fan of living in the cloud. There are too many different ways that one can lose data or access to data if relying on the cloud as the only place to keep data.

I prefer local data with several backups personally...

Right now I just use One Drive and I am pretty happy with it. I may start backup up more of my files to it. I have used Google Drive a little and I also like it (I also like what you said about 100G for $1.99 a month). Why I don't use it more often though is my firewall at work blocks Google Drive.

For my most sensitive files, I encrypt them and back them up to a removable hard drive.

I have a dynamic dns, ponted back home. Dont have realy a need for 100gigs of information that isnt recoverable.

Cloud computing by definition i think is accessing your files remotley. I can VPN back to the hoise and there i access anything i want via webdav, ftp or smb (windows file share on linux).

My "Cloud" pc is a dell poweredge T300 with 4x73Gb in raid 10 hot swap config. Been using it for a year now and maybe 20% full. I have 8 backup drives ready to hot swap.

External to my cloud pc, i have a 4tb, 3tb, 2tb and a 1tb seagate NAS so they are all accessabe within my network. PLEX media server, piwigo photo server and an instance of owncloud.

Needless to say, my cloud computing enviroment is quite down to earth.
