When I became a Soldier the Army Values had not even been established. My thoughts are all Soldiers or people who serve have instilled values that are their drive, motivation or purpose. We cannot rest only on ones merit or sense of accomplishment. Truly all branches have their own definition of what is are represents them. I believe it is up to the person to develop their own meaning true successes and failures alike. A soldier is willing to sacrifice his freedoms so his countrymen can experience theirs.
2. A soldiers responsability is to help his NCO/ officer accomplish the mission, and not to tell his leader how to do his Job.
3. A soldier always looks for away to help others in there tasks. If he isn't helping he is hindering his team.
4. A soldier must be true to himself and never allow anyone to persude himself away from his convictions, others will not follow him if he is not sure of himself!!!
5. A soldier is always a soldier; it's in his heart. Regardless if he's still on active duty, living in civilian life, in uniform or out of uniform. And his attitude toward his Army and his country is the same "THIS WILL DEFEND!!"
