I meet veterans every day. Most of &#39;em say &quot;Yeah, I was in the service.&quot; What? The Food Service? The Secret Service? Marines tend to self-identify early. It&#39;s cool to bump into a fraternal brother/sister, exchange the secret handshake, and have an instant bond. It&#39;s is fraternal character is apparent in the other branches... just not as prevalent. Seriously though I've had the opportunity to work with Navy and AF. Both top notch. I believe with the Army we have more opportunities to work with our other Brothers/Sisters in arms. I got to Handle some of the Most Important Messages in History. Executive Order for Operation El Dorado Canyon and all the Messages leading up to it. Achile Lauro Hijacking the Hijackers. Direct Circuit with the SEALS at their Primary Overseas Training Facility while I was there. No one has to tell me about Iran-Contra, I handled the Messages. Started as an Off-Line Encryption Operator at CINCPACFLT Handling Admiral to Admiral Messages and Messages for the Fast Attack Submarines conducting Surveillance against the Soviets. Oh Yeah! To Quote LCDR Montel Williams "You think 007 is Cool? I am 007" LOL! The sense of family that Marines have for each other. Even though I am in Thailand, when ever I run into a former Marine or Active Duty Marine, it is a family reunion.
