What is your favorite book about military history?

SFC Loftin, what part of Central Florida do you live?  I went to High School in DeLand, but lived in Orange City back in the early to mid 80's.  I knew some Loftins back then.

It is sir. It proves that outside the box thinking mixed with some audacity can allow a numerically inferior force to overwhelm any opponent.

anytime my old c.o was in 10th mountain and was at the crash site when he was prior enlisted, the book does mention Jeff Struecker quite a bit with some of his personal background as well also there's a million books about the battle the one i read was the one by mark bowden who also directed the movie as well

Has to be the Devil's Guard. Sometimes argued as fiction, but an extremely well written book with small intracit details that prove a great look into effective tactics.

You may also want to read CWO4 Mike Durant's book In the Company of Heroes.  CWO4 Durant was a member of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and was the pilot of the downed Blackhawk who was captured by the Somali warlord Moammar Farrah Aidid.
