I shop online almost exclusively. I can't think of anything that I need or use, other than food and drink, that must go to a brick and mortar to purchase. The only time I shop in person is when searching for antiques and collectibles and militaria that I can resell at a profit. Since I prefer selling to buying I like to stay away from place where I might be tempted to make a purchase.
