What is your favorite pig product?

Total is 9/11/2015 and is 14 years after a group of Wahhabi doctrine Muslims attacked the USA. I am thankful that the flags are at half mast. Thinking about the offense which this group of fanatical Muslims inflicted on us the thought of pig and pork came to my mind.
I know that pig products are highly offensive to Muslims and Jews; but, most Americans seem to like pig products [vegetarians and vegans excluded;-)]
There are pig products we eat such as bacon, pork chops, and pig knuckles and pig skins we toss around known as footballs. Pork rinds are popular someplaces and scrapple is popular other places. What are your favorite pig products?

I love to eat crisp bacon and fried Habbersetts Scrapple for breakfast and lunch and sometimes at dinner. In fact I like crisp bacon on sandwiches and crumbled up in salads.

LTC Stephen F. Bacon all the way! The Huffington Post (a ridiculously biased and liberal website) once ran an article that showed, step by step, how to gut and butcher a pig. Their intent was for it to be gory and shocking so that you'd give up the evils of piggery forever. I left a comment thanking them for teaching me how to make my own bacon.

Should have had an "all of the above" choice. It was a hard decision between bacon and pig skin but went with the latter since that is my favorite sport (Go Bears!) and while I can have bacon year around, football is seasonal.

Though I love bacon, I also like the Ham Hock...to make a pot of beans with. ..which by the way I aim to do tonight....got the Ham hock in the pot now.

Pork chops are good too.

Bacon. There is nothing that bacon cannot make better. It has been in everything from beer to ice cream. It makes breakfast better. It makes burgers better. It is just good. So in closing vote bacon 2016. It is a better choice than the turkeys currently running!

I have been on a Pig Journey these last couple of years and have been looking at, making and preparing pig in all different kinds of ways. Roast, Smoke, Grill, bake, brined, BBQ, Schnitzel, Leberkase, sausage, bacon...you name it and I have been trying to prepare it and make recipes for it.

Have any of you had goetta (Pronounced "getta")? It is a Cincinnati thing. Around the turn of the century German immigrants started looking for ways to make their meat go further. They started mixing sausage with pinwheel oatmeal and goetta was born. It is delicious.

I also take other cuts, par freeze then, slice them bacon thin, cold smoke, pepper cure them, then fry them in rendered pig fat with cracklins and eat them like bacon..

I’ve made chorizo, a sausage product that Mexicans and some other ethnic groups like .. when I’ve bought it.. i’ve Put it in a pot of water and cook it and put it in a bun and fried onions and peppers and spicy mustard. And some kettle chips..
with skin on.. ohh yeah!... I do pay later ...

Watched my grandfather kill pigs. He made the best "country" ham, salt-cured and smoked; sausage (the ones at Country KItchen are kinda like his). Never acquired a taste for chittings after watching that process

Pork Ribs covered in bacon and slow-smoked for 12-15 hours. Save the bacon to use in salads, sandwiches, and breakfast. Or as a side to the smoked ribs.
