What is your honest opinion about sleeve rolling? Are there more serious topics that need to be adressed?

Of course there are more important issues to address. For example, should the Army standardize on left-over-right, right-over-left, or some other pattern for lacing boots?

It was a morale issue, nothing more, there was no performance gain, no tactical advantage, it did not make the army stronger, better, more resilient.
It was an attempt to be"The Soldiers" CSM and in hindsight it seems to have worked, so , I'd say it was a good call.
I originally took it as an action to quiet the minions complaining... But in retrospect I think he did it to SUPPORT the masses asking for a change.

While it does nothing good for the service in tangible reality. It was good for the service in that they asked, he listened, and it was changed.
Cost is minor in the scheme of service costs, it is a change easily implemented with no issues of creating a hazard if done incorrectly in the transition period.

It will require a specification change on uniforms I think to be done correctly, but that can come as needed and those with large arms just have to suffer though it.
Only the CSM knows for sure.. but so long as it was done to support the mass's asking for it, and not the minions complaining they could not. I see little to no down side.

Of course there are more serious topics. However this is a quick, cheap, and efficient way to boost morale for those that care about sleeve rolling.

I think most reasonable people would agree there are more serious concerns than this, but addressing it really doesn't detract from those other issues. That said, there are always people who feel that any given topic is less serious than their own pet issue(s), but I digress.

Personally, I'm ambivalent about this. I don't see myself rolling up sleeves anytime soon.

Definitely more important issues. I think they should restudy the recent decision to allow black socks with the PT uniform. I can't get my old school head around some soldiers having white socks and some having black socks. It would be like a zebra running in formation. ;)
