What is your main goal of using RallyPoint?

I have been on Rally Point for a little while and want to see what the main reason the rest of you are using this platform for. This is a great way to connect with many people in one location.

I use RP for a number of reasons. For one I enjoy interacting with intelligent people who communicate on a professional level. I also like to see read the types of issues, concerns or complaints that other SM's may be challenges with, but the biggest reason is to check myself to see if my way of thinking is on par with my fellow warriors. Some may use this as a networking tool to acquire a job after Military retirement. So far I have been very impressed with the professionals that interact on RP. By communicating and reading some of the answers to questions posted It helps me to think about things from a different perspective. This type of interaction helps one to understand that your way is not the only way or best way of doing business. I appreciate everyone's input here weather I agree with your point of view or not, it is still respected.

Networking with people primarily, but I have also made some friends for the rest of my life in the process. Kindred spirits if you will.

Just like to stay in contact with other people have served or still serving. Pluss it is nice to see how the military is changing.

I look at it like you never know where your military career will take you. Connecting with people over a broad spectrum instead of the same people we see day after day may just pay off one day.

What I love about post here is the fact that there are no right or wrong answers to questions like this. We are here for a reason. My next question to all would be is: what ever reason you are herefor , is this working or is there a way that w can help you even more?

Well the reason (I feel) that this was started was to help people.

Like minded people.

Being able to access leaders who can provide assistance to some questions objectively, who are not directly in COC.

Being able to seek advice from SMs who are in similar predicaments.

Being able to provide guidance to younger SMs and help them potentially avoid some pitfalls that we have experienced.

I feel like all of the choices you gave applied though I was referred in regards to looking for a post-military career. It has been useful and has given me some insight into how some people operate as well some networking tools.
