I see very few of any gender in elected office that I would deem qualified, intelligent, or ingenious. Civil service is a waste of good talent

CPT Jack Durish. My short stints in state and federal employment revealed this to me. Once slackers get tenured, anyone new and with substance coming in is doomed.

I think the military has done a better job than the political scene at finding and promoting competent women. I am generally unimpressed with both the men and women who are in politics in this country

Lt Col Charlie Brown I very much agree on this point. I can see a unique difference between those who have served and those who have money or popularity. Those who have served have "peeked" in on what sacrifice and commitment really mean. So as civilians many do not succeed because idiots are in a position to sabotage those who have served before we get well positioned.

When it comes to government positions, I feel as though BOTH genders have a bad track history of being unqualified, idiotic, and self serving.
