A leader is a leader, and each service has a formthat covers all of thier MOS/Ratings, why not use 1 form for all services? What is your opinion of a service wide NCO/PO/SNCO Evaluation report? 2015-10-22T16:01:35-04:00 1stSgt Private RallyPoint Member 1058843

@SFC Christopher Harris presented some info for Army NCOER, what about a service wide one. It was a simple and easy to understand form which highlighted what Marines thought was important. It keyed in on a dozen or so areas including basic metrics, but also gave the ability of "raters" or those in Supervisory or Managerial positions (aka Leadership) to provide specific input about performance.

It acted as not only an evaluation, but a yearly counselling statement from Sgt (E5) through BGen (O7). As it was individually based, but offered the ability to competitively rank, without too much need to "inflate" because there were clear delineating lines of what the standards were for each grade it was nice. You didn't have to worry about "all to one side issues" and a few "average" marks wouldn't kill your career (early on).

Example from google search:

http://www.slideshare.net/ClayRegister/18-dec-2013-to-may-20-2014

18 Dec 2013 to May 20 2014

FOUO - Privacy sensitive if filled in FITREP ID #1885782 REGISTER CURTIS C 1053845530 1STLT 20130527 1302 1302 1EN 29048 COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION 31, 31ST MA…

Response by Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS made Oct 22 at 2015 4:12 PM 2015-10-22T16:12:55-04:00 2015-10-22T16:12:55-04:00 CSM Michael J. Yes I agree that leadership is leadership, but if you think about it, there are very diverse types of leadership based on MOS, position and duties.
