What is your opinion that a certain political party asked that Michael Phelps concede the honor of carrying the flag?

By "a certain political party", are you referring to that one CNN contributor (W. Kamau Bell) who recommended the Muslim fencer (Ibtihaj Muhammad) carry the flag instead of Michael Phelps? Conservative media really took his comments and tried to pin them on the Democratic Party. It's quite a leap to say that he speaks for the Democratic Party. In my opinion, this is making a mountain out of a molehill.
