I have been addicted to World of Warcraft since it first went public almost 10 years ago. I played when I was in Japan / Korea and those folks take their games serious over there :) Anyway I digress, I was never much into the first person shooters like Black Ops etc. but I love the Role Playing games that have a deep storyline and great graphics. It's my outlet the way some go camping, go to the gym, or read books. A good game with a good story is essential and once you get immersed into it, it's like a good book that you become part of the story. I also play a host of other games but I guess if you take into account the good old days of Warcraft on 3 1/2 floppies I've played the Warcraft series for a lot longer than 10 years hahah! Going on 25 or so years I'd bet. I can spend 3 hours in there, if I do my proper routine and wait 3-5 minutes between every set.

That's really my only relief, that and running. But it's so cold out, well, I haven't been running lately. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't like the idea of supplements or energy drinks. I just spend time with the wife as much as possible. We run together, play ping pong outside, play Wii U, watch movies, whatever and it works really well for me. I cherish that time and find it more meaningful than anything else, really.

For anybody else out there that is battling depression or even thoughts of hurting themselves, talk to me. I'll listen. I know from a personal standpoint that it's really tough to go through the motions alone. And for everyone else, be sure to listen to what Soldiers are telling you, directly and indirectly. Also, if budget allows (and ammo available), rifle and/or pistol shooting. If none of that works, BEER. (sorry, had to say it!). Motorcycle rides, fishing, hunting, camping and vegetative state in front of TV are also pretty darn good! Range days when I'm off duty are such a great stress reliever, and good practice for a GM.
