Anyone whose had to do land navigation has one.... I used mine in the Atlanta Airport today to measure the distance we walked. What's yours?

What do you need a pace count for?

(Being that I'm the first LIEUTENANT to post on this thread, I thought a land nav + LT joke was in order....I'm sure those words have been uttered by a LT (or 2 or 3) in the history of the U.S. Army...) :)

Is your's static? I have one for uphill and downhill as the distance varies greatly.

Pace count + terrain could equal a big difference of where you end up soldier!

My unit never let me actually learn land nav, and that is something I regret not rectifying. I was always there, just never the lead.

Depends on the terrain. 53 if we're talking a road or flat area but it jumps up to 64 if I'm going through some brush and wooded area. You should always have both written down in your PC.
