If that person wants to make sure they contacted me, it had better be by conversation in person or on the phone. Yes I have text and email but I have no tether to them so getting back may take some time. My wife on occasion has strapped a note to the dog's collar and sent him after me. So Dtext works for short haul stuff.

When I was a recruiter in South Jersey 2010-13, I used Craigslist. I met some very interesting characters that way. Nobody that actually joined though. Lol

This one guy emailed me saying that he saw my ad and he wants a phone call. So I called him and went to the prequal. Grad with no med, but when asked about his past interactions with the law, he said "oh I don't want to talk about that over the phone". That means what? DQ'ed. I said that I didn't want him to come all the way out for me to tell him that he doesn't qualify, "just tell me now", but he insisted to come. I told him to come out then. He comes in later with a backpack on and sits down next to me. I seriously said "hello, welcome to the recruiting office. What's the charge?" No crap, he said "well I had this victim-" and looked at me and I had wide eyes. He said "ok, I want you to read it instead" he pulled a folder out of his backpack and pulled out a paper. It read: "hello my name is ____ and I want to work for your company. I just got released from prison from a 7 year sentence for criminal restraint and sexual misconduct-" I gave him the paper back and said "I read enough, dude. You're disqualified, sorry." He got up and left quietly.
That was just one guy.
