My favorite all time small arms weapon is the one I earned the Washington state 1,000 open sight shooting title with. My Remington 700 BDL Custom Deluxe in .308 It was a tack driver in the 1970's and it's a tack driver today. While it may not have the rate of fire of modern weapons, I can hit and kill with that weapon consistently out to 1,000 yards, (well maybe not now). I'm 60 and my eyes are not what they use to be, but back in the 70's, 80's and 90's it took everything from coyotes to Colorado Elk.

My favorite pistol is the 1911 in .45 ACP. I've shot the .45 my entire life and I have 10-1911 45's. My Wilson has been replaced as my favorite by my new daily carry pistol the Kimber - Master Carry - Ultra.
